Pleasureable Silence

Dear troubled soul,

I know sometimes you wish that certain events in your life had never happened, but that's no good. Everything that's occurred has occurred because in some way or another it shapes your character, personality, and it creates a person that may well be better or worse than before. Regardless the change is positive or negative, there is a change and it is the turn that spins your life in a certain direction. You might regret everything in the whole world but that's no good; life goes on and it doesn't give a crap what you feel. Make the best or worst of your changes, it doesn't matter... Just make something out of them and use those mistakes to learn and those scars on your knees from falling down to remember how to get up again.  If you chose to stay on the ground, you lose more opportunities and chances to learn and grow. Obviously you can't undo what you did but have the chance to not redo it. That's where it counts... Not the first time you lose, but the second time you are presented with the obstacle and win. Do you think anyone who kept their chin down and eyes on the ground accomplished anything? No. "I have not failed 1000 times, I have found 1000 ways not to get to the answer". And even if it takes a thousand times to get it right, you got it right either way. So don't strangle yourself with your past or anyone else's, because the more you choke, and the harder you press those fingers to your throat, the less air that comes in and the fainter your breath becomes. Reminding yourself of your problems and mistakes or the past you lost and the future you're missing is only making your situation worse. Don't forget about the past, but don't live it every day. Remember the good times with a tear, and the bad ones with a tightened jaw and determined look. Keep your chin up and your sight focused; don't waver a moment in your road. There will be thunder, rain, earthquakes, tornadoes, and avalanches; nevertheless there'll always be sun, fields, flowers, air, and butterflies. Even though things always get better before the get worse, prepare yourself for the blow and take it as it's given. Punch life back in the face and break it's nose if it busts your lip or bruises your cheek. Fight back.

And never, ever forget: I will be here for you. Always.
